North Yorkshire Family Mediation

North Yorkshire Family Mediation was formed in 1998 by experienced family lawyers to provide an alternative forum to the traditional adversarial court system for resolving problems arising out of the breakdown of relationships. The mediators all operate independently from NYFM. The service itself merely administers the setting up of referrals and once a mediator is appointed he or she is the point of contact and responsible for the rest of the process. Our mediators have trained with the Resolution and Family Mediators Association and are also lawyers specialising in Family Law. We operate in the North-East and East Yorkshire with venues for mediation available at Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Bridlington, Driffield and Malton. We have been successful in being awarded a Legal Services Commission mediation contract.
Founder member and Administrator of the Service Paul is an accredited all issues mediator with both the LSC, Resolution and FMA. He is also a qualified Professional Practice Consultant and member of the Family Mediation Panel.
Sue is a member of both the Children and Family Law Panels as well as being an LSC accredited mediator.
A member of the Family Law Panel and an LSC accredited mediator. Ian has extensive experience of family work over a twenty year period.
Nick is a member of the Family Law Panel who trained with Resolution is LSC accredited and has particular experience in all aspects of family law.
Fiona trained with Resolution and is an LSC accredited mediator being able to draw on her experience as a family lawyer of many years standing.
